From Tito Square turn towards Brolo Square next to the Cathedral. Immediately next to the Cathedral of Mary's Assumption is the Brutti Palace.
The most beautiful among the palaces surrounding Brolo Square is the Brutti Palace, today the site of the Central Library of Koper. The palace is the work of Venetian architect Giorgio Massari and dates back to 1714. Its rich Baroque facade, the luxurious entrance gate and the staircase make it an exceptional work of architecture. The central axis is pronounced on the facade by a ground floor portal and a first floor balcony i.e. the piano nobile. The facade, apart from rectangular windows, is also decorated by biblical reliefs located above the first floor windows.
