St. Lovreč was also called 'del Pasenatico' (of peasants), as it was the seat of the peasant country Captain – a military administrator of the Venetian land estates in Istria. His seat was at the house next to the walls' south-western rim. The ground and first floor of the structure show the forms of the 14th century medieval architecture. The second floor was added in the 15th century featuring elegant Renaissance windows. Today it is privately owned.
